Purpose:
The Women's Ministry Department at Peninsula Christian Life Centre, Umina ministers into the lives of many women within the various ministry divisions listed below.
The aim of the House Church Group is to create a safe and caring environment for women to grow in their spiritual and personal life and to develop an intimate relationship with Jesus as their Lord and a vital prayer life.
The Groups are then a perfect setting to invite new believers, friends, neighbours and family members into, as they provide a safe place to meet.
During these fun times together and whilst the Women's Groups are out
in the community there is always the opportunity to talk to someone about
Jesus and bring them into a House Group.

Playgroup is held one morning a week for two hours in our Church premises. This comes under the covering of Women's Ministries, and ministers to parents and their children.
The main purpose of the Playgroup is to provide an informal and friendly environment, where parents and their children can come together for a time of social interaction on all levels. The parents can share and discuss common problems, and encourage each other in their role as parents. The children enjoy free play with "new" toys, and playmates, as well as participating in activities designed for parent/child interaction.
We also see the Playgroup as an outreach ministry arm of the Women's
Ministries where the unsaved are invited into a friendly atmosphere, and
the gospel can be presented in a non-threatening way. A variety of social
outings are also planned around the Playgroup year and enjoyed by all.

We have an excellent creche facility, that caters for one to three year
olds. It runs for every Sunday morning service and some special events.
It's free and so can you be. Creche is run by the parents (on a roster
basis) and they do a great job. Feel free to respond to our creche invitation
so your children can have fun in church too.
There is an active missions program within the church that aims to increase
mission awareness, and the needs of the third world, whilst supporting
missionaries in Indonesia, children from Mission of mercy, India, and the
Purfleet mission in Taree.
We gather together one Saturday a month for a breakfast, we share a
time of fellowship and try to build relationship over a meal. Then we watch
a video, usually by Ed Cole or sometimes a visiting ministry. The main
focus is to try to build a solid group of men in the church.
What is Royal Rangers and where did it come from?
Royal Rangers was born out of the Assemblies Of God Organisation after it was realised that they were losing their youth. In 1960 Rev Burton Pierce then AOG Mens Fellowship secretary said; "Our number one priority is to get men involved (as leaders) in "soul winning & the discipling of boys" (you may say what about the women - they were already up and running with missionettes!!). After careful, prayerful analysis the decision was made to create our own boys program "Royal Rangers".
The program was to include above all else, goals that would instruct, challenge, & inspire the boys in areas such as Bible Doctrine, Christian Service, Moral Conduct, & the basic beliefs of the Movement. Other goals were to develop physical fitness, hobbies, skills, crafts, camping, as well as indoor and outdoor recreation.
In late 1961 Rev Johnnie Barnes became the 1st Royal Rangers National Commander to supervise development and operation. Since this introduction, Royal Rangers is now operating in over 50 countries with both boys and girls in the ministry.
In Australia it began with boys and girls in 1964 at Petersham AOG under the National headship of Will Thorne. In the thirty odd years since it began many ways and awards may have changed, but the vision, purpose, aim and goals remain the same:

The Deacons Ministry is one of service to God through the deacons effort
to serve God's people and His church It is a ministry aimed at excellence
to bring about proper, orderly and smooth functioning church activities.
Even though deacons are task oriented people they are also very much people
oriented. The Deacon Ministry is involved from the first step through the
gate to last person leaving the building and more. Churches may not be
Deacon possessed but they are certainly Deacon loved.
