How to Drog Proof Your Kids

This program has the backing of Federal MP Jim Lloyd, Gosford City Council, The Peninsula Community Forum, Peninsula Christian Life Centre, the Express Advocate and Sun Newspapers, 2GO, SEA FM and 2CCCFM, the Central Coast Drug & Alcohol Assessment & Referral Centre, Advisory Board and Woy Woy and Umina High School Principals.

How to Drug Proof Your Kids runs for six weeks and is aimed at educating, parents in prevention and intervention of drug prob lems. The goal is to empower parents by helping them understand the problems kids may face and how to deal/communicate over these issues.

The course sessions are:

Drugs in Australia - How bad is it?
Why Kids take drugs
How to educate Kids to make good choices
Prevention tools for parents
Learning to intervene and where to get help
A Parents Guide to Handling Relapses

Play Group

Play Group has resumed for the new millennium on Fridays 10.00am to 12.00pm. We have a wonderful program designed for the 0 - 5 year olds and it is a great opportunity to meet new Mums and Dads. We are in need of a few items:- Dolls, Toys (in good condition), beanbags, cushions, childrens' books, small table and chairs, old shoes and clothing for dress ups. If you can help with any of these items, please see Anne or Bronwyn. Information about the course and our plans for how we want to bring it into the community will appear here any day soon.

G.I.G. - Get Into God

"G.I.G." - GET INTO GOD is a new 'Life Group' specifically designed for YOUTH! If you want to know more, got stacks of questions, want to grow in God and you're a young person - this is for you!! Held Tuesday nights 7.30pm at the deJager's home.
